CrossLoop: Remote Desktop Support
Last prepared on 04/12/09 by Professor Floyd Jay Winters

CrossLoop empowers anyone to help someone on their PC anywhere in the world with its free and easy-to-use software application for remote desktop sharing. CrossLoop connects computer users with trusted, qualified service providers and/or friends who can provide the support they need quickly and conveniently.

NOTE: On a very RARE occasion, in an EXCEPTIONAL circumstance, you may want your professor to offer you a BRIEF remote desktop support session to help you with an assignment (this does not cover hardware or software issues, which are entirely the student’s responsibility). Keep in mind that ALL assignments can be done in our labs. If your professor decides your issue meets the “Exceptional test” and uses CrossLoop in an attempt to help you with an assignment issue, your professor assumes absolutely NO liability and is not responsible in any manner for any hardware, software, file, or assignment problem that may occur on your computer before, during, or after the CrossLoop session. If you do not feel 100% comfortable with sharing your desktop in this manner, do not request or start a CrossLoop session.

4. Give your support specialist (as in your professor or friend) your Access Code which is shown in your [Share] tab

5. After your support specialist enters your Access Code from your [Share] tab into the textbox on his Access tab, you both tap [Connect] and in a few seconds your support specialist will see and have access to your screen

Simply click the [Disconnect] button when done or when you no longer want to allow access.
